The third band I was in, the Excerpts, was a full-on power-pop band influenced mainly by the Beatles and Cheap Trick. The line-up while I was in the band was me on guitar, Jon Brion (later on a member of til tuesday, Jellyfish...Aimee Mann/Fiona Apple producer, "Magnolia" and "Punch Drunk Love" composer etc) on guitar, Steve Harris on drums, and Dean Falcone (still a friend and collaborator-he plays on my new CD "Stars After Stars After Stars") on bass. Everybody sang. We recorded a 4-song demo at Presence Studio (notable for being Jon Brion's first studio recording session-he later worked there) including one Priggen/Brion composition "Will I Ever See You Again?". Here is an MP3 of that song. I'm still looking for pictures of me in the Excerpts if anyone's got any,but here's a photobooth series of me and Jon from that era. (Circa 1980-ish)
